Chicas Adelante Scholarship

Our mission is to build community and amplify the impact of Latinas through education, empowerment, and leadership development. Latinas often face many barriers on the road to higher education in comparison to their peers. We aim to support Latinas that have overcome these challenges through resilience and perseverance to continue their pursuit of higher education. We will award $500 scholarships each to Latinas pursuing higher education in Ventura County, California.

Application Period: March - May 18, 2025

The scholarship committee will review applications and choose the winner by June 2025. Please know that we receive many applications and may not be able to respond to every applicant, although we do our best to.

Eligibility

Permanent residence in Ventura County, CA
Latina or Hispanic heritage
Female identifying
2.5 and above gpa average
Graduating High School senior pursuing higher education, current college student or graduate student, or graduate student applicant.
This scholarship is also open to undocumented students

Application Requirements

Online scholarship application (see below)
One letter of recommendation from a mentor, teacher, advisor, employer, or coach
High school or college transcript up to the semester you are attending
A copy of your college acceptance letter or current transcript if you are a returning college student
